Nouval Kemalsyah Adhigumilang ( 0331328) Interactive Multimedia Design (28 march 2017) Lecture Second day we were met with a new lecturer  Mr Vinod and Mr. Shamsul. At the beginning of the lecture we were asked "what is typography?", everyone has variants of answer but  The general consensus was that typography was essentially the art of text, and how text could be made into art and deliver a message. After that we were showed our seniors portofolio, and their progress are well documented so its comfortable to see. The first task we were given was a group project  and research a particular calligraphic hand. We were new to calligraphy and so we google it to find all different kind of styles and we chose PF Champion .  Turns out the one we got was actually categorized as a font the difference between font and calligraphy by general is that calligraphy is handwritten and so it usually originated from the old days when there was no printing machine. Its pretty interesting right? no? ok so what do we do from these shapes is to make something out of it it can be anything as long as it is good. so what software we are using is Adobe Illustartor it isnt something that im fond of but it kinda have some similiarity from Photoshop like the shortcut, tools and all other stuff but the main tools are pretty different, Illustrator tend to have a cleaner result rather then photoshop. When starting the work i kinda need a time to get used to the software i started out with the cthulu and mythical creature made by H.P. Lovecraft.  But then i left the data on the school computer so in order to finish the assigment i made a new one.
