On our first week, we were divided into groups and each individual in the group should pick an existing title sequence and from all that sequences the group will need to identify what does this sequences has  in common. For the title sequence of my choice i decided to pick this The interesting part is i never seen this series or even heard of it, yet no exagerattion this is probably one of my favorite opening sequences from all the western tv shows ive seen. The music and visuals blends so well giving me goosebumps, not just that its also really smart it shows the main theme/plot without giving it way too much, and moreover its different than your usual opening scene that usually relies on CG or heavy editing. I wouldnt dare to say that they use simple/easy editing, but sometimes less is more if you know how to do it smartly. My other groupmates chosen these title sequences from these series Now what made this intro sequence good are: 1. Show the part of the story wi...

Initial Game Narrative One of our first assignment were to make our own 2d platformer game. For the idea of the game I have thought the theme and I’ll rework from past personal project. Set in the distant future Creature from ancient stories came alive and ravage the planet taking those who are weak and unlucky. Even though technology has advance vastly, humanity still wasn’t prepared for this type of outbreak. But out of this despair and misery, hope also came with it. A few selected individuals were chosen by nature to wield their power and take a stand for humanity survival, these individuals are now known as spirit bearers and they are meant to lead the new civilization. But there are those who don’t desire power for it’s a heavy burden to bear, yet fate chooses unconditionally. Our story began with 2 siblings Dwyn and Marg, Dwyn was a little bit frail but he was an adventurous little rascal and willing to take risks to satisfy his curiosity. Marg was also a curios las bu...

Games Design Notes

Week 1: Introduction to games and game design We were tasked on making our own card game from a normal set of cards. Our card game has a lot of bluffs involved in it, as it is the system that move the game forward. Now this game could played with up to 6 people with 7 starting cards each person, and how the game ends is the first one who loses all the cards is the loser of the match and to choose the winner is the one who has the most cards.  So how does this works is players take turns on deciding what type/number of cards to put, from here you get 2 choices be honest if you don’t have the same type of card and don’t get any card in the next turn or bluff by putting any cards you have in your deck and get one card from the stack, but be careful though if someone caught you bluffing and call you out then remains the same you cannot take a card from the stack in the end of the turn, but if he got it wrong then the one who call you out is the one who doesn’t get a card in the e...
